940 Dance Company to Perform at 5.4.7
The 940 Dance Company, from Lawrence, KS, will perform at the 5.4.7 Arts Center on Sunday, September 27th at 3 pm. The 30-minute outdoor performance, Here and Gone, will incorporate choreographed and improvised works that relate to the architecture of the Arts Center and the exhibit by Rita Blitt. Please bring your lawn chairs. A free will donation to the 5.4.7 Arts Center will be taken for the performance. The 940 Dance Company (formerly the Prairie Wind Dancers) is a professional contemporary dance company dedicated to exploring and communicating the commonality of human experience through dance theatre. Under the direction of award-winning choreographer Susan Rieger, the company presents an innovative and accessible repertory that has delighted and moved audiences of all ages.
The six-member company, based in Lawrence, Kansas, has been touring in the Midwest for the past 21 years, sharing dance through concerts, lecture/demonstrations, workshops and master classes.
This year’s dynamic company is composed of returning members Katie Brennan and Bobbi Foudree. And the company welcomes new dancers Jennifer Flynn, apprentice Jessica Molina, Eric Tedder and Ashley Trullinger
